The Canvas mobile application provides students a portable solution for Canvas. You can access Canvas from any browser on your Android or iOS device. However, some features may not function as expected compared to viewing Canvas in a fully supported desktop browser.
Canvas Mobile Apps provide students with on-the-go access to their courses, assignments, and grades. With intuitive navigation, students can participate in discussions, submit assignments, view content, and receive notifications. The apps enhance flexibility and engagement, ensuring learning is accessible anytime, anywhere.
You can access your courses on your mobile device using either the Canvas Student app or simply by navigating to Canvas from a mobile browser.
The Canvas Student app is available for iOS and Android devices. Installing the Canvas Student app on your smartphone or tablet can help you stay connected to your courses. Depending on your device, not all Canvas features may be available on the app at this time. Here are some benefits of the Canvas Student App:
Receive notifications when you receive a new message in the Canvas Inbox or someone replies to a Discussion Topic you’re subscribed to.
Communicate with instructors or classmates.
Access course materials on the go.
Participate in some activities or submit certain assignments. You may even be able to take a quiz from your mobile device.
You probably won’t be very successful trying to complete all course work through the Canvas Student app, so you’ll still need to access courses regularly from a laptop or desktop computer. Review What is the Canvas Student app?
If this is your first time to log into a Canvas Mobile App, you will need to access the TWU account:
Type Texas Woman's University to enter the school information.
Log into the Canvas Mobile App by entering your TWU Google Username (username@twu.edu), TWU Password, and tap the Login button.
You may not be able to do everything you need to do in a course from the app. Study the differences between accessing the course from an app vs. from a laptop or desktop computer. There are also some differences between what the iOS app does and what the Android app does. Review Canvas Student Mobile Features
