Supporting children with their learning is about more than teaching facts; it involves providing each child with an opportunity to be present, realise their strengths, manage and work through challenges, and celebrate their growth, even in the small things. If we collaborate and work together, we can ensure that no child gets lost in the system and that every learner feels that they are seen, heard, and deserving of success.

Uncovering Ancient Egypt: The World of Pharaohs and Pyramids
In this lesson, I guide my Grade 6 students in exploring the fascinating world of ancient Egypt, focusing on the lives of Egyptians and the powerful pharaohs who ruled them. Students learn about daily life, beliefs, and achievements such as pyramids and mummification. At the same time, they practice forming basic English sentences to describe what they learn, helping to strengthen their language skills.
Through group activities, students work collaboratively, share ideas, and support one another, promoting teamwork and active participation. As a creative task, each group designs and creates its own pharaoh costume using recycled paper, allowing them to express their understanding in a hands-on way. This activity not only enhances their creativity but also makes the learning experience more engaging and memorable while developing both communication and social skills.
