Who am I?

Hello there! I'm Rochelle Pangan Sansano, and I'm thrilled to share my journey and resources with you. Originally from the Philippines, I've dedicated my career to fostering a love for learning in young minds, specifically in English language education. My experience spans eight years in the Philippine education system before making the exciting leap to teaching English here in Taiwan.

I spent two years as an English teacher at Our Lady of Ransom Catholic School, a private institution, where I had the privilege of guiding Junior High School students. During this time, I also embraced the role of school paper adviser for two years, nurturing students' journalistic talents. Following this, I dedicated six years to public education at Sto. Cristo Integrated School, continuing to teach English to Junior High students. Throughout my eight years of teaching, I consistently served as a homeroom teacher, building strong relationships with my students and their families. My passion for literacy also led me to serve as a reading coordinator. Beyond the classroom, I've actively contributed to curriculum development as a learning activity sheet writer and PowerPoint maker, and I've had the rewarding experience of mentoring practice teachers, helping to shape the next generation of educators.

At the heart of my teaching philosophy is the unwavering belief that students are at the center of the learning process. Every decision I make, every lesson I plan, and every strategy I employ is designed with their unique needs, interests, and growth in mind. I strive to create an engaging and supportive environment where students feel empowered to explore, question, and discover.

To bring this philosophy to life, my teaching approach is dynamic and multifaceted. I'm a strong advocate for game-based learning, transforming lessons into interactive and enjoyable experiences that boost engagement and retention. Technology integration is another cornerstone of my practice; I leverage digital tools to create immersive learning opportunities and cater to diverse learning styles. Furthermore, I firmly believe in the power of collaborative learning, encouraging students to work together, share ideas, and learn from one another, fostering essential communication and teamwork skills.
