Cultural Exchange: A Culinary Journey in Changhua
Beyond the classroom, one of my favorite ways to truly experience Taiwan is through its incredible food scene, especially here in Changhua! Exploring local markets and eateries has become a delightful adventure, allowing me to savor unique Taiwanese culinary delights like oyster omelets, ba-wan (meatballs), and refreshing bubble tea. This journey of taste often leads to wonderful exchanges where I get to introduce my Taiwanese friends and colleagues to the beloved Philippine flavors from back home. Sharing dishes like adobo, sinigang, or lumpia creates genuine connections and sparks fascinating discussions about our different ingredients, cooking methods, and food traditions. It's truly a delicious way to build bridges and deepen my appreciation for both cultures.
