Students practice simple sentences in English and Mandarin to build confidence, fluency, and everyday communication skills. Through regular use and repetition, they strengthen vocabulary, sentence structure, and their ability to express ideas clearly.
Weekly sentences are introduced during Monday morning assemblies, with themes that vary each week such as daily routines, school life, emotions, and common conversations. These sentences are practiced throughout the week, helping students build vocabulary, improve sentence structure, and confidently use both English and Mandarin in real-life situations.
On Fridays, students are monitored as they practice and present their assigned sentences. This allows teachers to assess their understanding, pronunciation, and confidence. It also gives students the opportunity to use language meaningfully, reinforcing what they have learned throughout the week and building their speaking skills step by step.
