Local Rides and Routes

Two Broke Spokes loves these mountain bike trails!

  • Alafia River State Park: Some of the most challenging off-road bicycling trails in Florida can be found at Alafia River State Park. Located on what was once a phosphate mining site, the unique topography of the reclaimed land offers some of Florida's most radical elevation changes. Alafia River State Park is home to approximately 20 miles of bike trails, ranging from beginner to advanced. Helmets are required for all cyclists on Alafia's trails. The trails at Alafia River State Park were constructed by volunteers from the Southwest Association of Mountain Bike Pedalers (SWAMP). They continue to maintain the trails. Visit SWAMP online. • Flatwoods State Park: The Loop road gives bicyclists a woods experience. Off-road cyclists enjoy the Wilderness Park Off Road Trails System.
  • Trout Creek Trails: Trout Creek Site Park is one of three riding areas that make up Wilderness Park. The 4 miles of trail this park adds completes a 14 mile loop around Wilderness Park.
  • Balm Boyette: Featuring more than 25 miles of trails maintained by The Swamp Club. A reviewer says, "The single-track trails are for bike use only. There are maps posted all over the place, so it's hard to get lost. Be sure to bring plenty of water! "
