Mr. Scappaticci's Teacher Bio:
Mr. Scappaticci has been an art teacher since 2001. He has taught a variety of visual arts subjects to students of all ages from TK to college. Although ceramics is his first love, He has also taught drawing, painting, traditional black & white and digital photography, printmaking, bookbinding, graphic design, typography, architecture and a variety of handicrafts and cooking. He has a BA in Studio Art from King's College ('93) in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, A post-baccalaureate certificate in Art Education from Kutztown University('01) and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of British Columbia ('09) in Vancouver, Canada.
"I firmly believe that the arts are a significatnt and meaningful part of life that often get overshadowed by other subjects. It is my goal to nurture and cultivate an appreciation for the arts and for art experiences in the students’ every day life. My aim is to provide many opportunities for creative expression."
