TRUSD Food Distrution

Twin Rivers Unified School District, in partnership with Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, continues to offer free, walk-up food distributions. Eligible families and individuals may select from available food items. 

Registration and intake are located in Room S105 of the S-Building at Highlands High School, 6601 Guthrie Street, North Highlands. Please enter from Don Julio Boulevard near the Sports Complex.

Distribution Schedule: 

Food distributions are held from 3:45–5:15 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, except when the schedule changes due to holidays.

2026 Distribution Dates

• September 10 and 24, 2026

• October 8 and 22, 2026

• November 12, 2026

• December 10, 2026

There will be no food distribution on November 26 or December 24 due to the holidays.

What to Know Before You Arrive

This is a choice-model food distribution, allowing families to select the items that best meet their household’s needs. Available items include fresh produce, frozen protein and pantry staples.

What to Bring

• Reusable bags or a cart

• A form of identification, recommended for registration

First-Time Participants

• First-time participants will complete a brief intake form. 

• Household information is securely entered into the Oasis Insight platform and is not shared outside the food assistance network.

Eligibility:

• Participants must meet the current TEFAP income guidelines established by the California Health and Human Services Agency.
