The Getting Ready Activity guides (CLICK The LINK), developed by the Georgia Department of Education and Georgia Public Broadcasting for children in kindergarten through third grade, offer a wide array of simple, fun activities that families can do with their children at home and in their communities to continue learning about English language arts, math, science, social studies, and health and wellness.
Through a partnership with August House Publishers, Georgia families can also log into Story Cove (CLICK the LINK) for free to access award-winning folktales that nurture a love of reading and enhance children’s understanding of other cultural traditions.

It takes all of us working together to make the conditions necessary for every child in Georgia to become a proficient reader by the end of third grade.
