Federal Programs

The Federal Programs Department ensures that all children have an opportunity to obtain a high quality education and to achieve proficiency on the state's high academic achievement standards. We utilize multiple funding sources through the Federal Programs to meet the needs of our students, staff, and community. some programs are focused on low-income families, some on rural students, some on supporting high quality teachers and administrators, and others focus on specific student populations. The programs utilize evidence-based research strategies to accomplish our improvement goals. The department provides assistance to the schools to ensure compliance with regulations as well as to assure the quality of the program and the instructional delivery being utilized with at-risk populations. It is important that we engage families and involve them as partners in educating the students of Twiggs County.
