VHS Envirothon Team Winners

The Nature Coast Regional Envirothon is a competitive, problem-solving contest for high school students, which challenges their knowledge of the environment.  This event is an educational program involving Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, and Sumter counties in a “hands-on” site-specific experience with natural resource information.  Five natural resource areas are covered:  aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, and a current environmental issue. High school students in any grade with a strong desire to learn more about science and the environment are encouraged to compete.

Five teams with 5-6 members per school are allowed (one member is an alternate). One team leader must fill out the signup form for their team.

Meetings begin in September of each school year twice a month on Thursdays. Students will receive their study materials and receive the proper training. (Here's the signup link). The competition is normally held the second week in February. See Ms. Vinas if you have any questions. (Room 5-118)

This website is designed to be the go-to source of all information for science research projects.

If you have additional questions, please seek help from your science teacher.
