Ag Foundations
Students begin the program by taking Agriscience Foundations, where they will develop competencies in the areas of:
-agricultural history and the global impact of agriculture
-Explore career opportunities
-scientific and research concepts
-biological and physical science principles
-environmental principles
-agriscience safety
-principles of leadership
-agribusiness
-employability, and human relations skills in agriscience.
Students taking the Ag foundations class will take the AEST- Agriculture Associates Certification Exam. To pass, students must score 66% or higher. Passing students will receive 3 college credit hours for Agriculture Production Technology at most Florida Colleges.
