We will be using The Practice of Statistics, 4th Edition, by Starnes, Yates and Moore. Daily homework will be assigned from the textbook, as will reading assignments. You should plan to bring the book to class each day unless notified otherwise.
Preparation is key to success! Please have these materials every day. Failure to be prepared will count against your participation grade.
Graphing Calculator: TI-84 or TI-Nspire CX or TI-Nspire CX CAS (this last model has many advantages for calculus.) Please ensure your calculator is fully charged before coming to class (or pack extra batteries if you have an older model.)
Chromebook: We will use the chromebook on a regular basis for technology-based activities.
Binder: a three-ring binder to hold your notes and worksheets.
Paper You will need paper for notes and graphs. You must have graph paper. You may use graph paper or lined loose leaf paper for notes. All paper should be three-hole punched.
Sharpened or mechanical pencils
Pen: Blue or Black ink, Alternative color (e.g. red) for homework corrections.
Ruler
REMOTE INSTRUCTION: If you have access to a touch screen and a stylus, this will be very helpful for remote instruction.
This class will be using google classroom every day. In addition to our daily meets, our lessons will be available for each unit, homework will be assigned through google classroom and I will announce all tests and quizzes via google classroom. You should check in to google classroom every day.
