The third grade curriculum focuses of Communities: Past, Present , Near and Far. Most of the reading material will come from the social studies book. The students will be focusing on geography of communities, their history , government and economics.
Foldables will often be used in Social Studies. These items will include notes taken during and after the lessons. Students may use their foldable for class assignments and assessments. Notes found in their foldable will also be posted on their Google Classroom. Foldables will be collected and assessed at the end of each chapter.
Social Studies will not receive as many grades as ELA and math. Because of this, it is very important for your third grader to complete their best work on all assignments.
