The third grade classes will continue to use the Everyday Math Program. Everyday Math guides their students into deeper thinking skills. All students are different, so exposing them to different ways to complete problems allows them to choose a strategy best suited for them. These steps may seem more challenging or unusual us; however, since no two children are alike, showing them various math strategies will guide them into a better understanding of numbers.

Whether you are working with your third grader on multi-step problems, word problems or even their basic math facts, please encourage oral discussion to help him/her continue to build their foundational math skills.
