You can see the bright lights and what appears to be hundreds of people as they gather around a building. The building is the movie theater and fans are coming to see a particular movie. That movie is the new Sony and Marvel collab, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Hundreds of fans have reserved tickets for the movie to the point where it’s sold out. Everybody has been looking forward to it for what seems like the longest time. We’ll go into more detail in this article and the reviews so far.
We’ll talk about the cast so far and how it’s shaping up. Marvel/Sony has decided to keep the main stars the same as they did before. They have the infamous Tom Holland playing the lead role as Peter Parker/Spiderman. They have the ever-so-amazing Zendaya playing Mary Jane, otherwise known as MJ. Jacob Batalon plays Ned, who’s the “funny best friend” of Peter Parker. Playing Doctor Strange is Benedict Cumberbatch, who’s played the role phenomenally in several other movies. Last but not least, Marisa Tomei is playing Auntie May. All of these listed cast members are on the “protagonist’s side.”
Now some of these next cast members are on the antagonist list so this could be somewhat considered a spoiler, so I suggest you skip this paragraph and the next if you simply want to avoid it. But so far it has been confirmed there are five villains. Playing the role as Doctor Octavius, AKA Doc Oc, is Alfred Molina. Up next is Jamie Foxx who is playing the role of Electro. Then we have Willem Dafoe playing the role as The Green Goblin. Thomas Hayden will be portraying the role of Sandman. Last but not least, we have Rhys Ifan playing as Lizard. There is also speculation of a sixth villain, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet and might be just another rumor that fans love to create.
Now I said that might’ve been a spoiler and for good reason. The reason is because these are all villains who have played the main villain in previous Spider-Man movies. For example, Willem Dafoe played the Green Goblin in the first Spider-Man Movie. Another is Jamie Foxx playing the role of Electro in the movie “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”. That isn’t the only thing that fans picked up on.They also realize that the villains are from different franchises of the Spider-Man movies. Meaning that these villains are from different universes. That has led fans to go wild and expect Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield to also be in the movie. I expect there will be a big reaction from the crowd and the internet once they’ve seen the movie.
Fans have been going crazy ever since the trailer was released. In the trailer, it has been revealed that Spider Man’s identity has been released from the public. Later in the trailer, Spider Man asks Doctor Strange to make the public forget about his Spider Man identity. Strange was able to do so, but there were some repercussions to his spells. His spells unfortunately opened other universes and that's where things kick off. Villains from other universes pour into that world. Now Peter Parker has to stand off against five new villains that he has never faced or known before. From the beginning Peter has been plagued with problems, having to deal with the public knowing his identity, to a whole bunch of different villains that he’s never met before. Peter has to find a way to deal with his new enemies, or else it might be the end of his world.
Critics and fans who have seen it before its release have nothing bad to say about it and have been praising it relentlessly. Even the notorious “Rotten Tomatoes” gave it an astonishing 94%. That is an amazing rating from these critics considering they mostly never met eye to eye when it comes down to judging a movie. From what I've been reading, this might be the best superhero movie ever. Which is a big thing to say considering the Avengers movie series seem to claim that spot mostly. But regardless of its title, the movie is definitely worth spending your money on from what the reviews have said. I expect everyone who is going to see this movie to be satisfied and I believe that if you see it, you will definitely not regret spending your money.
