Over the years diesel pickup trucks have been the best automobiles for towing, work, and power. So today we are going to find out which is the best for 2022. The vehicles that we are gonna be looking at are: the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, the 2022 Ram 2500, and the 2022 Ford F-250. We will be comparing all these vehicles at base model prices, which means no add ons. We will find the cheapest truck, the best truck for towing, and the truck with the most power.

The first truck we are going to look at is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. This truck has the L5P 6.6 liter Duramax Turbo Diesel Engine. The engine makes up to 550 horsepower and 1,050 foot pounds of torque. The towing capacity for this truck is 18,500 pounds. Now the base model of this truck has six color options but only 2 interior options which are cloth black seats or leather black seats. It also has a touchscreen, leather seats, AC, tow mirrors, and trailer brake controls. The online net price for the base model of this truck is $49,485, which isn’t that bad for trucks now-a-days.

The next truck is the 2022 Ram 2500. This truck comes with a 6.7 liter Cummins turbo diesel engine. This engine makes up to 370 horsepower and 850 foot pounds of torque. The towing capacity for this truck is 10,520 to 15,040 pounds. The base model of this truck has 21 color options but only 2 are free, the other colors will cost you between $100-$450. The based model truck comes with leather seats or cloth and has a really small touchscreen display. The base model does not come with any tow mirrors, but it has leather seats and is only $47,545.

The last truck that we will be looking at is the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty. This truck comes with a 6.7 liter Power Stroke Turbo Diesel engine. This engine can make up to 475 horsepower and 1050 foot pounds of torque. The towing capacity for this truck is 12,000-15,000 pounds. The base model truck has 8 color options and has cloth or leather gray seats. The base model truck also has tow mirrors, leather seats, but does not have a touchscreen display. The base model net price for this truck is $47,390, which is not bad.

So which truck is the best? The cheapest truck on this list is the Ford F-250, which, at $47,390, is not that far off from the Ram at $47,545, but the Chevy is the most expensive with the base model starting at $49,485. Now, when we talk about towing and power, the Chevy destroys the competition. The Chevy puts out 550 horsepower, while the Ford only puts out 475 horsepower and the Ram puts out only 370 horsepower. Same with the towing capacity, the Chevy can tow up to 18,500 pounds while the Ram can only tow up to 15,040 pounds and the Ford can only tow up to 15,000 pounds. In summary, the Ford is the cheapest, the Chevy has the most power and can tow a lot more, and the Ram is just in the middle of everything. In my opinion, I would say that the Chevy would be the best option because of the power. But if you need a normal work truck you should get the Ford, it is the cheapest and has plenty of power to get things done.
