In this section, you will write about the virtues and faults in your personality.
Step 1: Select a Big 5 trait below that you would like to write about. These traits are Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism.
Step 2: There are two surveys for each trait, one for virtues and one for faults. Pick one to do first.
Step 3: Complete the survey to get an idea of your personality profile, then select one attribute of the trait to write about. An attribute is a box that you checked.
Step 4: For that attribute, complete the prompt in the assignment by clicking the virtues or faults button below. Check the virtue and faults assignment buttons below for instructions on what to write about for the assignment.
For this part of the autobiography, you will be asked to write about your qualities, both virtues and faults. Use the surveys below to help you figure out things to write about. For each quality you write about, explain a time in your life that the trait impacted you, then write about how you can maximize the trait in the future, or minimize it if writing about a fault.

When writing about your present, you will have to write about both virtues and faults.
1) Write a short story about a time that this trait had an impact on your life. Remember, narratives require a narrative arc. Does your story have a climax? A resolution? Try to keep it concise. Nothing derails a story like nonessential details. Remember to add Sentence Tune-Ups to improve your writing. Highlight your Tune-Ups in your submission.
2) Reflect on this trait and your experience to write at least one paragraph about how you can use this trait in the future to benefit yourself and the lives of those around you, or if writing about a fault, how you can minimize the impact this trait has on you in the future.
