The Information Management study program at the Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Liberec (TUL), is a bachelor’s degree program combining informatics and economics. It prepares students to effectively manage information systems and technologies in the business sector with special focus on e-commerce. The program is distinguished by a two-semester professional internship, which takes place during the third year of studies. Students spend 34 weeks gaining practical experience in selected companies.

Duration and Timing: 34 weeks during the third year of studies.
Choice of Company: Students can choose from over 25 partner companies specializing in IT-related roles, including programming, system administration, project management, and digital marketing. Alternatively, they can propose their own company, subject to approval by the program director.
Internship Agreement: Students, the faculty, and the chosen organization must sign a contract by June 30 of the preceding academic year.
Practical Work: Students work on junior-level projects under the guidance of a company mentor. These projects are aligned with the study program’s focus.
Thesis Connection: Students typically base their bachelor’s thesis on their internship work, with a finalized topic submitted by October 15 after consulting their thesis advisor.
Reports: Students must submit monthly progress reports and comprehensive semester summaries.
Final Report: After completing the internship, students submit a final report, including feedback from their company supervisor and proof of internship completion.
