Innovation Lab

Innovation Lab

The Innovation Lab consists of a combination of 3D printers, Laser Printers and CNC devices. The primary source of the devices was through a special grant process through DonorsChoose and funded by PwC Charitable Foundation.

Additional materials have been provided by 4 different DonorsChoose projects, gifts from supporters and minimal support from the Tukwila School District's.

Creator Pro

The Flashforge Creator Pro was the initial device that set the stage for the Innovation Lab. We have one of these and it specializes in two color prints.

Ender Pro 3

The Creality Ender Pro 3 is the workhorse of the Innovation Lab. We have four of these single extruder devices. They handle the bulk of the 3D printing needs.

Snapmaker 2.0 A350

The Snapmaker 2.0 A350 is a 3-in-1 device, capable of 3D printing, Laser Printing/Etching/Cutting, and CNC. We have two of these devices.

QuadCrane

The QuadCrane from M3D is an incredible device that mixes four different colored material in the single extruder head to create a virtually unlimited number of colors. Think of an inkjet printer only with 3D filament. We have two of these devices. The learning curve is steep and we are excited to see what students will be able to create with them.

Pop Scanner

The Revopoint Pop 3D scanner was purchased by the district to support students using the Innovation Lab.

PLA Material

A sample of the PLA material that students can choose from. We also have an assortment of PLA+, PETG, TPU, ABS and some water soluble support materials. We currently have more than 75 different materials to choose from.
