AVID—Advancement Via Individual Determination—fosters a safe, open culture, high expectations for teachers and students, and collaboration in all classrooms. Requirements to Join AVID
2.0 GPA
No major discipline referrals
Desire to attend a four-year university after high school
High amount of individual determination
Willingness to try new things
All interested and qualified students must apply and interview to take the AVID elective.

100% of our senior scholarships are generated through our fundraising efforts. This year, we have two fundraisers planned: Double Good Popcorn and a staff versus student basketball tournament.

AVID's Academic Components
Organization
AVID students are organized! This year, we are going to focus on a wide rage of organizational methods, including using a planner, digital organization, organizing your backpack and locker, and using the AVID binder.
AVID binder, digital or physical, will be checked every other week.
Your teacher will provide you with more information.

C-Note Expectation:
Cornell notes are checked every-other week.
You can take digital or physical Cornell notes.
Your teacher will provide you with more specific information.

Tutorials are Important!
- Every Tuesday and Thursday, AVID students will participate in tutorials.
You must have your TRF pre-work done before you come to class.
If you do not have the pre-work complete, you will receive a zero on that section, but will still join a group and participate in the rest of the process.
