It's that time of the year, time for our most awaited Signature jamboree event, an event that has created its own buzz and excitement over the years. This is the time of the year when parents, students and teachers join hands to celebrate the indomitable spirit of Shriites and the essence that is captured in our core values of Sensitivity, Integrity, Pride in One’s Heritage and Pursuit of Excellence.
TSUS Palava has been a forerunner for many programmes and practices that instill in students a sensitivity and consciousness towards the environment and also encourages responsible environmental behavior. The school premises are a plastic free zone and students are encouraged to ‘ Reduce, Reuse and Recycle always.
As we move towards our daunting goal of becoming a zero waste school, our young champions of the environment are eager to connect with their counterparts around the country.
Some of the highlights of our Environmental Consciousness Program (ECP) and our school policies are-
A robust ECP curriculum for the Primary Grade students
No single use plastic in school
No micro-plastics or glitter
No bouquets or cut flowers used at school events
Use of newspaper for making props and wrapping
Recycled props, articles and resources
A thriving herb garden
Greening of spaces
During this week-long celebration we will witness numerous events, workshops, competitions, guest lectures, webinars and more.
