Money-Back Guarantee

The Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Money-Back Guarantee (MBG) program offers tuition reimbursement to eligible graduates. This program reinforces TSTC’s commitment to prepare and place students in the workforce. Graduates who have met all MBG criteria will be eligible for tuition reimbursement if they are unable to secure employment in their chosen field (related to the program they graduated from) within six months after graduating from TSTC. 

Authorized programs of study (only associates and certificates):

• Diesel Equipment Technology

• Electrical Power & Controls

• Electrical Lineworker & Management Technology

• Instrumentation Technology

• Industrial Systems

• Precision Machining Technology 

• Process Operations

• Robotics & Industrial Controls Technology

• Welding Technology

Enroll in MBG

1. Declare one of the authorized programs of study

2. Sign and submit the MBG agreement during first semester in the program

3. Receive MBG welcome email (official acceptance) from Career Services

Students accepted into MBG must meet certain requirements to be eligible for reimbursement (MBG advisement, attend Career Services workshops and events, complete all requirements for graduation, etc.).

Reimbursement

Only tuition will be reimbursed. This includes the amount paid out of pocket by the student and/or the portion of student loans used to pay for tuition. Reimbursement toward student loans will be paid directly to the lending agency.

Please note that students and graduates should refer to the agreement they signed to review all terms and conditions.

Students who are in their first semester at TSTC and are in a MBG authorized program of study will receive the TSTC MBG Agreement mid-semester. In the meantime, please feel free to submit the MBG interest form. Career Services will utilize this form to make sure that those who have expressed interest in MBG are on the list of students who should be contacted. If something should occur and the agreement is not received, please reach out to Career Services prior to the start of finals for assistance. This deadline allows both parties time to get everything sorted since the agreement must be signed before the semester ends.

Please note that students who were not in a MBG authorized program of study to begin with but have added or changed to an authorized program of study will need to submit this interest form in order to be contacted by Career Services. This form must be submitted during the semester of the add/change.
