Mission Statement
The TSTC Office of Information Security provides guidance and support to Texas State Technical College’s academic campuses and TSTC Administration in their efforts to establish and maintain an information security program that:
Effectively reduces risk and secures information assets under its stewardship against unauthorized use, disclosure, modification, damage or loss.
Is documented and verifiable.
Meets regulatory compliance requirements.
Follows the Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 202 Compliance - controls to help identify, prevent, detect, and respond to security incidents. The information security manager is also responsible for tracking incidents, vulnerability assessments, threat mitigation, and risk management.
