New Construction & Renovation Project Request
To initiate the review of the New Construction & Renovation Project Request, please fill out the New Construction & Renovation Project request form. The Campus Expansion Planning & Construction (CEPC) and the Facilities Departments will review the information and determine project management responsibilities. A Project Manager will then collaborate with the requester and pertinent stakeholders to discuss and document the project scope. An estimated project cost will be prepared and sent to the requester to review, confirm the budget source, and obtain the Vice-Chancellor's (VC) approval. Once departmental approval is received, the project will be submitted to Rick Herrera, Senior Vice Chancellor & CCEO, to determine if the project requires review by the Leadership Team (LT).
Once project approval is received, an estimated timeline will be established based on the project's scope of work.
The Project phases include:
1. Solicitation and selecting an architect or engineer
2. Construction services and schematic design (SD)
3. Programming and design development (DD)
4. Preparation of the construction documents (CD)
5. Solicitation and selection of a contractor
6. Construction or renovation
7. Post-construction.
