Students who are interested in Independent Schools are required to take an entrance exam. They typically accept scores from the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) test. You must pre-register to take the exam. Please check the website of the independent high school for details.
Students who are interested in Catholic schools must take the TACHS exam. You must pre-register to take the exam. You can register on the TACHS Exam Website.
Independent and Catholic schools tend to hold open houses on the weekends. Check the website or call the high schools that you are interested in for dates and times.
Applications for Independent and Catholic High Schools can be found on the websites of the individual high schools. Some Independent Schools accept a standardized online application.
