My name is Molly Scheel-Mowery.  I'm thirty-one and this is my tenth year teaching!  I taught first grade for 3 years at Blue Ridge Primary in Frankfort and 2 years here at Wea Ridge Elementary.   This is my fifth  year teaching second grade and I love it!  I graduated magna cum laude from Anderson University in 2016 with a degree in elementary education with a minor in reading education.   Lafayette is my hometown and I'm proud to teach here!

I married my best friend, Christopher Mowery, this past summer and adjusting to a name change!  I come from a big family with four older brothers, all married, and enjoy being an aunt of eight!  I have a wonderful and adorable miniature golden retriever/poodle at home with whom I am obsessed!  In my spare time,  I love reading, drawing, soccer, and being with my loved ones.  

I believe in open communication, honesty, deep respect, and celebrating successes when working with parents. In my classroom you will see positivity and accountability and you will hear lots of talking and laughter!  Teaching is my absolute favorite thing and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to work with your amazing children and you!
