About Ms. Wittgren
I am very excited about having your child in my class this year. We are going to have a lot of fun while we learn! I grew up in Lafayette, but moved to Long Beach, CA after graduating from Purdue University, and earned my Master’s degree from WGU University. I have 3 grown boys: Kyle, Nick, and Jack.
Kyle graduated from Purdue in 2012. After living in Texas for several years, I am happy to say that he is back in the Indianapolis area with his wife, Brooke, and 5 month old son, Conrad.
Nick and Ashley live in Florida. They have two boys: Jackson (6) and Camden (4) . Nick was drafted by MLB in the 9th round in 2012. He has played for the Miami Marlins, the Cleveland Indians (before they were the Guardians), the St. Louis Cardinals, the Kansas City Royals, and was with the Minnesota Twins organization last year. Nick retired from professional baseball (13 years) at the end of last season after he spent spent 8 1/2 years in MLB.
My youngest, Jack, is 29 years old, and also lives in Florida. He is a logistics manager for a company that manufactures airplane parts/engines. He loves living in Orlando and has some wonderful friends surrounding him.
We moved back to Indiana in 2002. This is my 15th year at Woodland, teaching 4th grade, but I also spent several years teaching kindergarten at Mayflower Mill.
