Kindergarten Homework

In kindergarten we don't send homework home until later in the school year. Below I have listed some ideas and activities that you can do at home throughout the school year. These activities will help boost kindergarten skills. I will also include weekly skills on the Friday letter that you can work on that will relate to what we are studying in class each week.

Kindergarten Practice

  • Practice writing name using uppercase letter at the beginning and lowercase on the remaining letters.

  • Review Zoo Phonics with your child. There is a file in the Friday Letter link with the Zoo Phonics motions and names.

  • Practice tying, zipping, and buttoning.

  • Practice your address and phone number with your child.

  • Read a book to your child and ask questions about the characters, setting, and story.

Weekly Skills

  • Practice writing fist name and letters of the alphabet.

  • Practice writing numbers to 20 and counting objects to 20.
