Welcome to our class! 

I am looking forward to experiencing second grade with your child this school year!  Get ready to get lost in good books, make new friends, reach goals, and more!!!! I believe relationships are what make learning possible. I want to get to know each of my students and their families so we can prepare your children for the next steps in their lives. This will be my ninth year teaching at Mayflower Mill. My first year I  was a Title 1 aide , and then I transitioned to teaching in the classroom. During my free time, I enjoy staying active through swimming, running, spending time with my family, and gardening! I look forward to a great year teaching your child. 

 I grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana, and I attended Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL.  After graduation I got married to my high school sweetheart, Derek. We celebrated 16 years of marriage in June.  We  have two handsome sons, Henry (11) and Charlie (8).   Henry attends Southwestern and Chalire attends Mayflower. Henry is in sixth grade and Charlie is in third.
