Welcome to First Grade!

Welcome to a new school year! First grade will be a year of great educational and social growth for your child! During this school year, you can expect to see your child become a more fluent reader and develop stronger academic skills. We will be participating in many hands-on learning experiences in all areas of the curriculum. It is going to be a fun and exciting year!

School

School bells are ringing, loud and clear;

Vacation’s over, school is here.

We hunt our pencils and our books,

And say goodbye to fields and brooks.

To carefree days and sunny hours,

To birds and butterflies and flowers.

But we are glad school has begun,

For work is always mixed with fun.

When autumn comes and the weather is cool,

Nothing can take the place of school.
