This course focuses on the approaches, techniques, and skills involved in teaching English as a second language. It emphasizes developing effective English learning activities, writing detailed lesson plans, and practicing teaching English lessons entirely in English.

Throughout the semester, I have gained knowledge of the History and Development of Language Teaching and explored various teaching methods, including the Grammar Translation Method, Direct Method, Audio-Lingual Method, Desuggestopedia, Community Language Learning, Total Physical Response (TPR), and Communicative Language Teaching (CLT).

Each class combines theory and practice. First, we learn about the concepts and theoretical foundations of each method. Then, we apply what we have learned by creating lesson plans and delivering demo lessons to our classmates, who act as our students. This balance of theory and hands-on practice has helped me strengthen my understanding of effective language teaching and develop practical classroom skills.
