Curriculum and Learning Management

In this course, we have been exploring the essential principles of designing, planning, and implementing effective curricula and lessons. We learned about the different types of curriculum, including traditional and progressive approaches, and examined foundational concepts as well as influential figures in curriculum theory. The class also covered key frameworks such as the six dimensions of curriculum, Understanding by Design, Outcome-Based Education, and inclusive education practices. We focused on integrating technology into lesson planning, applying differentiated instruction, and creating assessments that align with learning objectives. A major part of the course involved hands-on projects where we applied these concepts, culminating in writing detailed lesson plans using the OSLEA framework. This class has helped me understand not just how to plan lessons, but how to create meaningful, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences.
