How to Create and Event in IA

Login to Internet Advancement:

https://advancements.scouting.org/

Click on Calendar

Click the “+”

Select the units you want the event to show uo (you can do both 641 & 6641 concurrently)

*Except when Camping/service/Hiking hours are tracked. These items need to be unit specific, however events from one Troop can be duplicated to another.

Add Invitees. Typically 'Select All'.

Check “Repeat Event’ for recurring meetings. For events that need recorded attendance, check ‘Event with RSVP’

Typically, uncheck ‘Disable Reminders’ and hit + ADD NEW REMINDER to set a reminder for at least one time before the event occurs.

Click ‘Create Event’ at the top.
