Become a Leader

Parents are the lifeblood of every Troop.  Without them, our program would be limited and our Scouts would be missing out on opportunities.  It is very easy to become a Trained Leader.  ALL the required training can be taken online - so you can take the training at your own pace.

Steps to Leadership:

1. Talk to a current leader (Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, Charter Org Rep) about your willingness to help

2. Go to beascout.org and apply to be a leader/adult volunteer for Troop 641 or Troop 6641. Or Fill out and print the Adult Leader Application at the bottom of this page

3. Complete Council Youth Protection Training

4. Complete Position Specific Training

Required Training:

• 1. Go to myscouting.org and create an account.

  2. Take the following courses at myscouting.org:

     • Youth Protection Training

     • Position Specific Training

  3. Submit certificates to scouting@troop641.org
