Post date: Apr 17, 2018 2:32:51 PM

When: 11/10/2017 - 11/12/2017

Where: Weldon Spring, MO

Summary: We camped at our local city park so that we could participate in Scouting for Food bag drop on Saturday. We setup camp and went searching for firewood late Friday.  Later, we had Cracker Barrel (Dirt and Worms). We soon made a fire to warm our hands. Some of us played at the park while others stayed with the fire. We soon fell asleep. In the morning we made pancakes in the cold. Soon after breakfast, we went headed off for Scouting for Food bag drop. hen we came back, we made lunch (quesadillas). After lunch we setup stations for blacksmithing and knot tying. At blacksmithing, Mr. Nieders and Kyle helps scouts make useful "S" hooks. Mr. Bogener taught Webelos and first year scouts how to tie 6 essential boy scout knots. After we finished blacksmithing we cooked dinner, loaded potatoes. Dinner was very good and most scouts liked it. We cleaned up dinner and attempted to make girl scout s'mores. They hardly got cooked. Soon we all fell asleep. The next morning we cooked our ship wreck, ate and then started to pack up and clean. We departed around 11 AM (with our own tents to dry at home).
