Arizona's Premier instate camp. Located north of Payson Arizona. This beautiful facility offers an amazing week in the woods. Scouts can work on numerous merit badges and other outdoor activities while bonding and having a wonderful time with fellow scouts.
Located on Catalina Island in California, Emerald Bay allows scouts to choose between a wide variety of merit badges, especially aquatic-based ones that are challenging to accomplish in Arizona (Small boat sailing, motorboating, etc.). Troop 3030 went in 2024. Our scouts liked it, and we are hoping to go to Emerald Bay every other year.
Fiesta island is another aquatic-based camp, located in San Diego, California. Troop 3030 went to Fiesta Island in 2022.
Sea Base is a unique camp, located in the Florida Keys. It allows scouts to become experts in aquatic based skills. Scouts can learn how to sail and scuba dive, while participating in many different challenging activites. Troop 3030 went to Sea Base in 2022.
In 2020 as Crew 2030 the Troop attended a week long white water adventure on the New River Gorge in West Virginia. Traversing 50 miles the crew took on class 1 , 2 and 3 rapids over 4 days in inflatable kayaks called Duckies and for their final adventure class 4 and 5 rapids in a white water raft.
In 2019 as Crew 2030 the Troop attended a 10 day horseback riding adventure. Riding between backcountry camps the scouts took care of their horses and navigated the wilds of Northern New Mexico.
In 2021 as Crew 2030 the Troop attended a 12 day backpacking adventure. Hiking between backcountry camps the scouts participated in team building, shooting, and many other activities.
