Do you want to explore the outdoors, become a leader, and have fun learning and traveling? Want to hike mountaintops, explore the many outdoor areas of Arizona, earn awards and maybe even become an Eagle Scout? How about caving in Tucson, paddling kayaks at Bartlett, and working with local non-profits to serve our community? How about high-adventure at places like Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico or the National Sea Base in the Florida Keys?
You have found the right group for all these things and more in Scouting America Troop 3030. We are an all-girl troop led by and for girls here in the North Valley! All girls are eligible to join from anywhere across the Metropolitan area!
You can join our troop if you are a girl age 11 to 17 years of age. You can also join if you have earned the Cub Scouting Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10. See the Scouting America FAQ here.
Come to one of our upcoming Troop meetings to meet our scouts and the adult Scouting America leaders who help guide them.
Annual dues are paid yearly in July. They cover registration with Scouting America, monthly campouts, and awards.
Troop 3030 meets every Monday from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm in the gym at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church. Meetings are opportunities for the girls to get to know others in their patrols, work on learning skills and showing mastery to earn rank advancement, and planning for activities.
Campouts are scheduled monthly normally on the first weekend of the month. Each patrol plans and buys its own food. For summer camp, Troop 3030 attends Camp Geronimo, one out of state camp and one high adventure camp. New scouts are encouraged to attend and gain experience camping with the troop while working on early rank requirements.
