We camp out and do things every single month of every single year. Sometimes we take pictures, and each picture is like a slice of time, a single second frozen forever that forms an image we can treasure. But a camp out must be LIVED in order to really be appreciated, and there is no real substitute for doing the things for real and being part of the great adventure. The pictures below are from some of our favorite outings, and they can give you at least some idea of what we do. Scout camping is different than family camping, because the scouts are running things, operating within independent patrols. Together the boys make decisions, cook their own food and work together to accomplish a common goal. Led by their elected peers, the scouts do things together they would never do on their own, and in the process they learn to become self-sufficient and independent. In so doing, they learn the life skills that in turn make these kinds of trips possible. Enjoy the images, and the memories...
