If you earned Dual Credit while in high school, congratulations — you’ve already started your college journey! 🎉
However, your dual credit transcripts are different than your high school transcript.
Colleges require an official transcript sent directly from the college or university where you earned credit.
Without this step, your future college cannot award your earned credits, even if you completed the courses.
Check your class schedule or ask your counselor if you’re unsure which college your classes were through.

Choose the name of your future college.
If it’s not listed, enter the registrar’s mailing address or official email manually.
Pay the Fee (if required).
Most colleges charge $5–$10 per transcript.
Payment is made online with a debit/credit card.
Send an “Official” Transcript.
It must be sent directly from the college to your new school.
Do not send it to yourself or to Carrollton High School.
📅 Wait until your final dual credit grades are posted — usually after graduation (late May or early June).
Sending your transcript too early may result in missing grades for courses still in progress.
Pros
✅ Your future college can begin processing your credits sooner.
✅ Helpful if you only took 1st-semester dual credit classes.
✅ Early submission may help with early enrollment or advising.
Cons
⚠️ Current semester grades will not appear on the transcript.
⚠️ Current semester grades will not appear on the transcript.
⚠️ You’ll have to send (and possibly pay for) another transcript once grades are finalized.
⚠️ Missing grades can delay transfer credit evaluations.
👉 Best Practice:
Wait until all final grades are posted before ordering your transcript — unless your college specifically asks for it early.
