As a kaiako at TRM Training, my goal is to establish a safe space where our ākonga (students) feel comfortable expressing themselves, fostering confidence, and inspiring them to pursue their goals. Drawing on a solid foundation on toi māori and raranga, I use creativity as a means to tap into self-expression and connection with our ākonga. I am particularly passionate about hapori (community) driven initiatives that focus on the well-being of our rangatahi (young people). I look forward to working with rangatahi to better themselves and their opportunities for the future.

Most if not all of our staff here at TRM Training come from the same or similar environments as our Ākonga (Learners.) These lived experiences shape the lens we see through and inform our approach into how best to engage with our Ākonga and help them on their learning journeys.
Ngā mihi.

At TRM Training, I’ve been lucky to work across different roles within our kaupapa, and I now support Whakamana Wāhine. My journey into this mahi has shown me how powerful it is when people feel supported, understood, and backed- and that’s what I aim to bring into this space.
As a māmā, this mahi is close to my heart. I’m proud to walk alongside our wāhine in a way that uplifts their confidence, strengthens connection, and supports their growth within a kaupapa grounded in tikanga and manaakitanga. I love being part of a space where our wāhine are encouraged to show up as themselves and take steps forward with purpose. I’m proud to be part of TRM and the kaupapa we carry for our rangatahi and our hapori

I began my journey with TRM training as a tauira, completing a Level 4 qualification in Whakairo before stepping into my current role within the organisation. Having walked this path myself, I bring lived experience and a strong understanding of the challenges and strengths our rangatahi carry.
We walk alongside rangatahi to help them build confidence, develop practical skills, and recognise the value in who they are and where they come from. Whether it’s working towards qualifications, gaining a learner’s license, learning their pepeha, or simply finding their voice – we create safe spaces for growth, connection and real-world progress.

Having recently joined the team here at TRM Training my goal is to be of service to our rangatahi. At 22 years of age, I can relate to our young people and their experiences in te ao hurihuri. Being creative by nature and having a positive approach to life is who I am and what I hope for our young people to see when walking beside them on their learning journey. We, rangatahi, are the future. Every one of us has potential in bettering our community, each other, and ourselves. Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini.
