Table Activities: We build routine and responsibility by coming into the classroom, checking in, and choosing a small group or individual activity at the table.
Preschool Meeting: We review the schedule for the day, make meaningful connections, and participate in activities to build language and literacy, social skills, science, and math concepts.
Literacy: We love read alouds! We have book conversations to build our vocabulary, phonological and phonemic awareness (rhyming, syllables, sounds), print knowledge (reading left to right, uppercase and lowercase letters, sight words) and narrative (characters, setting, describing major events, storytelling).
Music and Movement: Music strengthens language, math concepts, and social skills. We learn rhymes, beats, songs, play with instruments and participate in lots of fun large motor movements for body awareness both in the classroom and in music class!
STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math): We learn and experiment through hands-on experiences, explorations, and investigations!
We use the Bridges preschool math curriculum.
Social-Emotional Learning: We focus on feelings, emotions, problem solving skills, friendship skills, and self-esteem through puppets, songs, stories, and art.
We use A Little Spot of Feelings curriculum.

Morning Snack: We eat a nutritious snack. Students also participate in food experiences!
Centers: Students move freely around the classroom as they choose an area to work and play. Materials are rotated regularly for new exploration.
Small Group: We work one-on-one with the teacher or in a small group of students for individualized instruction.
Art: We use our imagination to create open-ended art projects and experience lots of different media!
Recess: Muscle groups are exercised by participating in games and playing on the playground. We run, jump, and climb! We also have PE class.
Library: We visit the school library once a week and check out a book to take home to read.
Jesus Time: We read a Bible story, sing songs, rhyme, participate in action poems and finger plays, art activities, and puppets. We attend early childhood chapel once a week. We use the Enduring Faith preschool curriculum.
