⚠️ All employees will continue to be paid as usual for the foreseeable future. We are also communicating with our contractors regarding their employees who work on our campus.
✅ Collect and share up to date contact information
Verify that staff have a current phone number so that you can stay in contact with your employees.
✅ Establish a process for staying in touch with your employees
Schedule times to have regular team meetings and maintain regular contact with your employees either through Zoom or by phone, whether or not they actually have work to perform.
⚠️ You will continue to be responsible for approving time entry hours in TigerPaws every other Monday before midnight.
✅ Continue to log your hours into TigerPaws.
It is important to track your hours so that we can ensure that we pay you any overtime that is due.
✅ Check in with your supervisor for assignments.
Your supervisor will be responsible for assigning your work. Your supervisor has the discretion to reassign work duties and you will need to follow his/her guidance and direction.
✅ Check in regularly, as you will be expected to be fully available during normal work hours (or those identified by your supervisor).
If you are working remotely and you have not been assigned any work, you will continue to get paid on regularly scheduled pay dates as long as you enter hours in TigerPaws and they are approved by your superviso

The Department of Education has permitted institutions to pay federal work-study wages to students whose employment has been disrupted by campus measures taken to control the spread of COVID-19. These wages play a critical role for meeting students’ educational expenses, which include materials and living and transportation costs.
Payroll Schedule
A lump sum payment will be issued to all federal work study students on April 9, Trinity's next scheduled biweekly pay date, in the same manner as your previous paychecks. You are not required to log hours or work for the remainder of the semester in order to receive this payment.
Note: If you were also working in an institutional work-study position, see information about Institutional Work Study.
How Payment is Calculated
Payments are calculated by taking the average federal work-study hours worked per week prior to spring break and multiplying that by the remaining seven weeks in the spring semester.
Working Remotely
Please work with your individual supervisor to determine whether your role will continue remotely, as many of our student workers are a critical part of a successful Trinity.
For everyone's health and safety, on-campus work is not an option. However, students may be provided the flexibility to work remotely.
Continuing to work remotely (supervisor approval required)
Please contact your supervisor to determine if this is feasible. If you are able to continue to work remotely, please document your hours worked on your time card and, approved by your supervisor, you will be paid in the same manner as in previous pay periods.
If you are not able to work remotely
If you are not able to work remotely, your most recent time card represents your final paycheck for that particular position during the spring 2020 semester.
We encourage you to work closely with your supervisor with any questions you may have. We know this may impact some students harder than others, which is why Trinity has established an Emergency Fund for students with immediate financial needs.

If you are working from home, enter the hours you physically work from home as Time In/Time Out hours. If you are not required to work (while at home), these hours (when you are NOT physically working) will be paid as Administrative Leave. Under Other Time Types, choose Administrative Leave and enter the total number of daily Other Time Hours. If you do not have access to TigerPaws, contact your supervisor with your daily work hours by the end of the day/week.

You must be fully available for your supervisor during normal work hours (or those hours identified by your supervisor).
No. In order to protect the welfare and safety of all members of the campus, that is not an option.
Your supervisor will be in contact with you.
