What to do if you are stuck on a question
What to do when you’re stuck on a question - the positive growth mindset model
First read the question carefully. Underline key words and information.
Write down a bullet point list of what topics the question is about - what things do you recognise from lessons?
Write down any facts you know about those topics
Think carefully about what information you have, and what information you don’t have. What would it be useful to know in the context of the question?
Apply any of the things you’ve considered to the question
Remember: this method may not get you full marks on a question, but will get you method marks. In the first half of the paper there should be no questions that leave you feeling totally blank.
