What Does the Software Do?

Creo Parametric is a comprehensive 3D CAD software that enables mechanical engineers to design, analyze, and manufacture products efficiently. It uses parametric modeling to create designs where changing one feature automatically updates the entire model, ensuring design consistency and accuracy throughout the product lifecycle. 

Windchill is a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software that acts as a central hub for all product-related data, including CAD models from Creo Parametric. It helps mechanical engineers manage and control design data, track changes, and collaborate with team members across Trimble during the product development process, from initial concept to manufacturing and service. 

Creo View is a visualization and collaboration tool that allows users to view and mark up 3D CAD models and other product data without needing the full Creo Parametric license. It is designed to facilitate communication between engineering and non-engineering teams by providing a lightweight, read-only version of the product data. 

Request a License

Trimble employees who need access to Creo Parametric and Windchill may obtain permission by requesting access from CAD Administration. Email matthew_mercier@trimble.com or mats_eriksson@trimble.se. In your request you must provide:

1. Username used when logging into the Trimble network

2. Oracle account number to charge the access to

3. Email from the manager approving the charges

4. Employee ID#

5. Confirm the required access type (Creo Parametric + Windchill or Creo View + Windchill).
