Click the link at the bottom of this section to download the installation batch file. Once the file is downloaded, simply double click the file and follow the prompts. You can use this script to install Creo for the first time, upgrade an existing installation, or repair desktop shortcuts and drive mapping. If you are upgrading Creo, the script will rename your current C:\PTC folder to something like: PTC_old_20190801155521-240. Once you have confirmed that everything is working correctly and any CAD data, modifications, or customizations have been migrated to the new install, you may delete the PTC_old_20190801155521-240 (where the numbers correspond to the time you ran the installer). When you first launch the software, you may need to allow Creo to communicate on public networks. After doing so, these warnings should not come back.

Installation options:
During the installation you will be asked to "Pick the configuration that applies to you." An explanation for each choice is provided below here. Note that Trimble currently has two separate Windchill databases. These databases are located in Dayton, Ohio and Danderyd, Sweden.

This option is for users located in or near near New Zealand that use the Windchill database located in Dayton, Ohio. Through testing we have determined that users located in India are best served by choosing this option.
Danderyd, Sweden (Reserved for users located inside Sweden)
This option is for users that are located inside Sweden and require the use of the Windchill database located in Danderyd, Sweden.
Dayton, Ohio, USA (Reserved for users located inside the USA)

Computer Hardware Upgrade Information:
If you receive a computer upgrade, you will run the install script to install the latest build. Prior to running the software, copy the "Windchill" directory from C:\users\username on the old computer to C:\users\username on the new computer. You will also want to copy the config.pro and creo_parametric_customization.ui file from the C:\PTC\Work directory on the old computer to the same directory on the new computer. When you first launch the software, you may need to allow Creo to communicate on private networks. These firewall warnings should not come back the second time you launch the software.
Notes: The logic behind this installation is that when you use the proper shortcuts, they call a batch file located on the appropriate Trimble fileserver for your location. The batch file copies a set of config files from the server to your local machine each time you start the software. This allows us to keep all installations basically the same and to update parameters as needed without having to manually distribute the updates. We do not restrict you from having a separate personal config.pro file to store your personal preferences. A personal config.pro should be stored in C:\PTC\Work, as the one in the CREO loadpoint is overwritten each time you start the program.
