I am a tenured associate professor in the Economics Department at UVa, with a PhD from Brown University. As a development economist, my research spans four thematic areas: water and environment, gender-based violence, higher education and skilled labor markets, and public service delivery in developing countries. I use theoretical insights and data to explore these issues, often generating primary datasets through fieldwork, particularly in India. My work is interdisciplinary, informed by various disciplines, and I am keen on understanding how technological solutions can address development challenges.
