Mark D Hemingway, Tri-Cord Tech’s CEO and founder, has worked in his field for over 35 years. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with degrees in Physics and Mathematics. After graduation he joined AC Spark Plug, a division of General Motors. At that time Catalytic converters were relatively new and onboard computers were just beginning to be installed into vehicles. After a decade with vehicle computer controls, catalysts, and catalytic converters, he joined the Advanced Powertrain Engineering group. Combining controls, catalysts, and high energy physics, he developed several cutting-edge technologies in Non-Thermal Plasma and Fuel Reforming. He worked with the “Big Three” consortium developing new vehicle technologies called USCARS. In this, he worked with Pacific Northwest National Laboratories, Oakridge National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory and the University of California. He has published several technical papers and has 17 patents ranging from catalyst formulations, non-thermal plasma power techniques, and fuel reforming devices. Recently, Mark has worked mostly in fuel emissions sparking the idea for one of Tri-Cord Tech’s big projects, the Tri-Cord Fuel Reformer (TFR). Today he again is working with non-thermal plasma and the reformer, along with many other projects. Mark tries to answer more and more questions about life situations by trying to further the world of science and help bring ideas he and others have to fruition.
On a more personal note, Mark married his wife, Cyndi, in 1982, right after graduating from college. They had five children together, two boys and three girls. He and his wife have been married for over 35 years and are still going strong. And now, they have been blessed with a granddaughter. Mark and his wife have gone through many hardships over the years, bringing Tri-Cord to life as well as personal struggles. All through the difficult challenges he has faced, Mark has never given up hope and trusting in God for strength, ability and discernment in knowledge and understanding.
