Gary Richmond
Gary is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and is the sole Technology Integration Specialist for Tonganoxie Public Schools (USD 464). Additionally, he supervises a "Technology Internship" program where high school students help manage the hardware and user-knowledge issues that come along with 1:1 student devices. In the past he taught middle school science for Topeka Public Schools. He has been an educator since 2007. His Bachelor's Degree is in Biology and his Master's Degree is in Curriculum and Instruction; both from the University of Kansas. He earned his EdD from Kansas State University with his research focusing on the 1:1 student device adoption process at the classroom level.
He is a promoter of project based learning and blended learning classroom environments. He has presented at various regional conferences and for individual school districts on G Suite for Education and other digital tools. Gary has been involved with the transition to the Google ecosystem and the rollout of student chromebooks in two districts.
