Today marks the Autumn Equinox, the moment when day and night are nearly equal in length across the globe.
This balance happens because Earth’s tilted axis lines up in such a way that the Sun shines directly over the Equator. From this point forward, the Northern Hemisphere tilts away from the Sun, bringing shorter days, longer nights, and the cool beauty of autumn.
Fun Fact: On the equinox, the Sun rises exactly in the east and sets exactly in the west, making it one of the best times to observe perfect symmetry in the sky.
Take a moment to look up and enjoy the changing skies — fall has officially begun!
